“Hello…….

Are you still there?”  That’s what I keep hearing, and yes, I am still here.  Sorry I’ve been a stranger from the Blog for a while but I’ve been so busy lately trying to tie up all the loose ends before I go on my little break.  The sneak peeks stopped because I’ve been working on getting the galleries up quickly and as of today everyone should have received an email that their gallery is live.

I am now officially on maternity leave.  I will still be accepting orders and will do my best to fill them quickly, but I will not be taking any more sessions until the end of July.  If you would like to schedule a session for late July or August please email me to set up a date.  Those months are filling up quickly so don’t wait to book.  I will try to keep the calendar updated so that you know what dates are still available.

Remember to keep checking the Blog regularly because I will post pictures of my new bundle of joy and soon as he arrives.

Racine and Blake

These kids are seriously two of the cutest kids I’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph. Racine wants to become a photographer also so she was so excited for our session. I really think that she should become a model instead because she is just so adorable and took direction wonderfully. Blake on the other hand didn’t take direction very well, but it just took a little patience and I think we got some great pictures of him. After giving him a little space he became such a little ham and gave me plenty of cute little smiles.

Here are a few of my favorites. Holly, I think you will be very happy when you see the rest. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Twice the Sweetness!

I can’t tell you how much I love newborn babies. This session was extra special for me because it was only my second newborn shoot and my first newborn twins. I will admit that it was challenging…. not for me really but more for the parents. It was very difficult to get them both sleeping at the same time and doing the same thing. For three minutes out of two hours we actually did get them both sleeping at the same time.

These pictures just make me so anxious for my own to arrive. Enjoy!

Happy Mother’s Day!

To all the wonderful mother’s out there! The most rewarding thing in the world is being a mother, and I thank God every day for my boys, they are everything to me. I am so lucky to have met so many wonderful mothers and children and I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day today.

Here is my recent favorite picture of my son Gavin. Actually my new favorite picture, but as his mother I am biased. I’ve been wanting to get a picture of him sleeping for so long but I was always afraid I would wake him up. Luckily he slept right through the clicks of the camera.

“Cheese”

This was the word of the day.  Or so these boys thought it was.  I never tell kids to say cheese, in fact I tell them not to say cheese, but sometimes kids can be so used to saying “CHEESE” with big goofy grins.  It was kind of funny though that they would just stare into the camera not really smiling saying “cheeeeeeese.”  Anyway, these two little guys were so cute and so fun to hang out with today, and we got some really fun shots.

Enjoy the sneak peek Mistie and have a wonderful Mother’s Day with your sweet little boys!

Pucker Up!

Did you know that lemons were this sweet? Well, this one is! I know mom was worried that this wouldn’t come out but I knew that I got one shot of the little lemon. We got some other great ones too! Little Coleman is so adorable and has the most incredible blue eyes I’ve ever seen. Although, I have to say that this was the only baby I’ve ever had who didn’t want to look at the camera. He was just too in love with mom and not the big black box. Just look at the gaze in his eyes in the second picture, it’s priceless.

Thanks Nicole and Coleman! I had a great time with you today!!

Just a quick FYI

It occured to me yesterday that some people may not realize that I’m nine months pregnant.  Funny thing was that I thought everyone knew but when I showed up at my session yesterday Leia’s mom was surprised at the big bellied woman that showed up at her door.  It actually is getting challenging to shoot now that my belly is so big but I still manage to get around.

I promise I’m making a point with all this rambling.  And that point is that May is my last month that I’ll be working for a while because my son is due on June 5th.  If you haven’t seen the new and improved website, please check it out at www.sweetbabyphoto.com.  We now have a calendar section that will show you that pretty much all of May is unavailable, there are only two dates left that I will be booking.  If you are interested in a session please contact me as soon as possible because these dates will fill up quickly.

After my son is born look forward to this Blog filled with pictures of him until I decide it’s time to come back to work.  If you are interested in a session in July please email me at erin@sweetbabyphoto.com.

Sweet Baby Leia

This is exactly the reason that I love my job so much! In fact, I wouldn’t even call what I do a job because I love it so much. It is so much fun being around adorable babies and wonderful families. Today’s session was extra fun because Leia’s whole family was there. It’s hard to be a model but Leia did such a wonderful job even with an audience. I am so excited because I get to see Leia again in 6 months and then again in another 6 months because her mom chose the “Steps Plan” which is my package with three sessions. I can’t wait for the next time I get to spend time with this awesome family and this sweet little baby.

Here are my favorites from today, and believe me it was hard to choose favorites. She’s just so adorable!!
